Something I learned here that I think we need to bring into rehearsal (and here I'm pretty much only talking to Ashley) is the eye contact - the way we're currently doing it is a shoulder massage, but it seems that eye contact, especially in the more severe phases of the panic attack, would be really helpful in calming George down. And I think the text suggests that George does calm down: he's able to hose down the pig and start the fire before returning to another attack that ends his life. So with George here there needs to be a tension and release kind of situation with the panic attacks, and the techniques from this video will help with the release part of that.
This is great, it tells the rest of us exactly how not to respond (aka what all of us, except for Jeananne, do). great idea!
