So I woke up today thinking "What in the world was the weather like on the day before labor day?" I knew that it probably wasn't that big a factor into the play (its never mentioned except for when Bernice says "Look at the stars") So my guess would be probably clear.
But having never spent a September in NYC, I started to wonder if the heat played a factor in it. I remembered in 12 Angry Men, how much the summer temperatures affected the mood in the room. Could it have possibly been the same in our world?
I had guessed that the Robinson BBQ had taken place in warm 78-82 degree weather. Mostly because no one ever mentions it being too hot or too cold. Looking through the archive I was more or less right:

The high that day was 88 and the low was 65, meaning that this being around 6:45 pm-ish (I could not find the exact time of sunset) it would probably be in the 73-77 range.
The real question though is "does this matter?" Of course we need to decided on a temperature, but do we necessarily have to take the one that actually was, or do we want to use to heat to heighten the conflict?
Personally, I would stay at 75 degrees but its definitely open for discussion.
